What we collect

When you write to us. If you email us to request an introduction, we receive your name, email address and anything you choose to tell us, such as your role, your business and its size.

When you visit the site. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools, and we do not ask you to create an account. Our hosting provider may keep standard technical logs, such as IP addresses and browser type, for security and to keep the site running.

Why we use it

  • To reply to your enquiry and arrange a Discovery conversation or Visit if you wish. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.
  • To consider an application for membership. Our lawful basis is taking steps, at your request, before entering into a membership agreement with you.
  • To meet our legal obligations, for example keeping records we are required to hold.

We will never sell your information or use it for unrelated marketing.

Who we share it with

We share your information only where needed:

  • With trusted service providers who help us run the business, such as email and website hosting, under contracts that protect your data.
  • Where the law requires us to.

If any of our service providers store information outside the UK, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, as UK data protection law requires.

How long we keep it

If an enquiry does not lead to membership, we delete your details within 12 months of our last contact. If you become a member, we keep your information for as long as you are a member and for up to 6 years afterwards, to meet our legal and accounting obligations.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. To use any of these rights, email info@cclcr.uk. We will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.

Cookies

This website does not set any cookies, and it does not use analytics, advertising or social media tracking.

To display our typeface, the site loads the Montserrat font from Google Fonts. This means your browser shares your IP address with Google when the page loads. Google’s use of that information is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.

Our links to LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube take you to those platforms, which have their own privacy and cookie policies. If we ever introduce cookies or analytics, we will update this notice and, where required, ask for your consent first.
